Obituary

Walter J. “Jeff” Geoffroy, Jr., 88, died peacefully and went to join the love of his life, Margaret, on November 10, 2017. At the time of her passing, they had been married 67 years. He was the son of the late May Borland and Walter Geoffroy, Sr. He was the brother of Kathy Slay and James Borland.

Walter was proud to be a veteran of WWII, serving in the Merchant Marines. Walter retired after 33 years, as Quality Control Manager for the Imperial Knife Co. He continued his career as a consultant and Executive Vice President for Sherle Wagner International, until the time of his passing.

Walter is survived by his devoted children, Vincent J. Geoffroy (Linda) and Donna M. Geoffroy (Jeremiah). He was the loving grandfather of Dr. Rennie Howard, Evan, Marissa and Colin Geoffroy; and cherished great grandfather of Jack, Isabel, Piper, Lucy and Franny. He is also survived by his special nieces, nephews, and friends. Walter was loved by many and admired by all. His favorite saying and advice to us was “Remember, family means everything.” He will be greatly missed.

Walter and his family express their sincere gratitude to Dr. P.J. Joseph and his Oncology staff for their years of devoted care and compassion. A special thank you to Jennifer.
