Obituary

Steven J. Santilli, age 57 of Johnston passed away May 1, 2019 in his residence. He was a son of the late Silvio and Gilda (Schiano) Santilli.

Born in Providence, Steve chose his career in the hospitality industry. In his earlier years he was an employee of Almacs on Murray St. He then continued his chosen career as a bartender at Barry’s, General Manager of Club Atlantis, Owner of the Emerald Room and Sebastian’s Party Place plus a former bartender of Twin Oaks, and last but not least he was a proud member of the Johnston Democratic Town Committee.

Throughout the years, Steve has had many close friends but we would like to thank and acknowledge Jimmy Dolce, Dr. Thomas DePetrillo and Michael Castelli. The dedication of “time, understanding, and love” demonstrated by them during Steven’s difficult time could never be repaid. Both my brother Paul and I are so grateful for everything they did for Steven. We will always remember you in kindness and prayer.

Steve was loved by so many. He was a big kid with a natural wit and humor that found its way to everyone. Steven will always be loved and greatly missed.

Please pray our dearly beloved brother is no longer in pain and is now at peace with Mom and Dad.

Steven is survived by his two siblings, brother Paul Santilli, and sister Sylvia Santilli, along with many nieces and nephews. He is the brother of the late Carl Santilli.

His Funeral will be held Friday, May 10, 2019 at 9 AM from the TUCKER-QUINN Funeral Chapel, 643 Putnam Ave., (route 44) Greenville, with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Robert Bellarmine Church, Atwood Ave., Johnston at 10 AM. Visiting hours, Thursday, 4-8pm.
