Miriam Gonzalez Obituary

Miriam (Torres) Gonzalez, 67, passed away Monday, August 20, 2018, surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of the late Gregory Gonzalez. Born in Ponce, Puerto Rico, she was a daughter of the late Gloria (Rivera) and Rafael Torres; step-daughter of Ana and Fela; and the daughter in-law of the late Tomasa.

Miriam worked as a CNA for many years. She was employed by Miriam Hospital, Women & Infants Hospital, and the Steere House Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

Miriam was the beloved mother of Elizabeth Heard (William), Gregory Gonzalez, Jr., Millie Tiodor (Frank), Marion Osorio (Efrain), Jessica Gonzalez, and the late Gloria Gonzalez; devoted grandmother of Irene, Gregory, Jorge (Niasia), Alecia, Zamayra, Tatiana, Celeste, Denzel, Jazlene, Jonathon, Xavier, Sophia, and Nahla; great-grandmother of Isaac; caring sister of Sylvia, Maria, Louis, Tata, Margie, Pito, and the late Modesto, Milly, Thomas, and Berto; sister in-law of Elsa, Alberto, Henry and Arnaldo. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held Friday, August 24, 2018 from 4 pm to 8 pm with a funeral service from 7 pm to 8 pm in the Thomas & Walter Quinn Funeral Chapel, 2435 Warwick Ave., Warwick. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery, Broad St., Cranston. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to Fresenius Kidney Care, 125 Corliss Street, Providence, RI 02904, will be appreciated.
