Jose Tobias Mendez Beato Obituary

Jose Tobias Mendez Beato, 34, passed away Friday, November 6, 2015. He was the loving husband of Kerri J. (Levesque) Mendez. Born in the Dominican Republic, a son of Jose and Fatima (Beato) Mendez. He was the father of Aleahbelle and Alejandro Mendez; brother of Joaquin A. Mendez, Jose M. Mendez, and Karlos M. Mendez; grandson of Milagros Mendez, Aida Beato and the late Jose J. Mendez and Tobias Beato. He leaves many nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins. He also leaves behind his dog, Ginger. Jose worked in the logistics dept. of C.R. Bard-Davol for over ten years. He was a brother of the La Unidad Latina Fraternity, Inc. Jose was a talented artist, and an avid collector of toy memorabilia, especially Transformers. He also enjoyed cooking, and riding his motorcycle. Jose loved spending time with his children and family, as well as, making people laugh.

His funeral will be held Friday, November 13, 2015, at 8:15 am in the Thomas & Walter Quinn Funeral Home, 2435 Warwick Ave., Warwick, with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Michael the Archangel Church, Oxford St., Providence, at 10 am. Burial in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. Visiting hours Thursday, 4-8 pm.
