James A. Brown, Jr., 58, of West Warwick passed away on Thursday, July 30, 2020 at the Kent Hospital in Warwick. He was the beloved husband of Kathleen M. (Gough) Brown. He was born in Warwick on October 29, 1961, a son of the late James A. and Mayrose (Brodeur) Brown, Sr. James was a tow truck operator for over twenty years.
Besides his wife he leaves a daughter, Krista Brown; three sons, Jimmy Brown, Justin Brown, and Jason Brown; a step daughter, Kimberly Gough; a step son, Carl Gough; two sisters, Darlene Fisher and Edith Taggart; a brother, Scott Brown; fifteen grandchildren, Felicia, Annastasha, Alexia, Scott, Hunter, Kaylib, Khloee, Emma, Zoey, Calleigh, Carly, Jaxon, Sophia, Arthur, and Paige as well as nieces, nephews, and god children.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, August 6, 2020 from 5-8 pm in the Potvin-Quinn Funeral Home, 45 Curson Street, West Warwick. The funeral and burial will be private. Facemasks are respectfully requested along with proper social distancing guidelines and seating capacity limits. In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to the American Diabetes Association, P.O. Box 15829, Arlington, VA 22215. A celebration of his life will be held on Friday, August 7, 2020 from 12-9 pm at his residence, 19 River Avenue, West Warwick.
