Beatrice M. “Bea” (Charland) Demers, 83 formerly of Centre Street, Coventry passed away on Tuesday, March 31, 2020. She was the wife of the late Albert J. Demers, Jr.
She was born in West Warwick on June 5, 1936, a daughter of the late Arthur N. and Clara (Gaboury) Charland.
Beatrice was a secretary at the Warwick Braid Company for over 30 years before becoming a claims specialist at the MetLife Insurance Company in Warwick for 15 years, retiring in 1985.
She leaves two daughters, Donna A. Demers of West Warwick and Tracy A. Demers of Coventry and nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Clara “Lolly” Rondeau.
Her funeral and burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to the West View Nursing & Rehabilitation Center Patient Activities Fund, 239 Legris Avenue, West Warwick, R.I. 02893. A Memorial Mass for family and friends will be announced at a later date. Arrangements are by the Potvin-Quinn Funeral Home, West Warwick.
