Shirley E. (Hoffecker) Turnbull, 92, passed away on January 18, 2021 at The Village at Waterman Lake in Greenville, RI. Born in Ridley Park, PA, Mrs. Turnbull grew up in Sharon Hill, PA and then lived in Chatham Township, NJ for 48 years before moving to Greenville. Mrs. Turnbull worked as a stewardess for American Airlines, business assistant for the Pittsburgh Pirates, and at the Navel Yard in Philadelphia. She was a member of the Presbyterian Church of Chatham Township and was an active participant in the Chatham Art League. She loved spending time with her husband and family at their camp in Maine every summer.
Mrs. Turnbull was the daughter of the late William A. and Florence B. (Bouchelle) Hoffecker and the wife of the late Wilbur L. Turnbull, who died in 2017. She was also preceded in death by her sister Gloria and brothers William and Robert.
She was the loving mother of David G. Turnbull and his wife Joan of North Scituate, RI and Douglas W. Turnbull and his wife Michele of Montville, NJ. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Amanda, Christopher, Erin and Steven Turnbull. Her funeral and burial will be private.
